Medical Insurance

NWN Carousel provides comprehensive medical plans through Blue Benefit Administrators of Massachusetts (BBA) that use the national Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO network. You can choose from three plans: HDHP with HSA, Deductible, Copay.

Dental Insurance

NWN Carousel provides dental care through Delta Dental. There is one dental plan that offers 100% coverage for preventive care, 80% coverage for basic services and 50% coverage for major services care up to $2,000 per person each year. This plan also covers orthodontics up to age 19 up to a $1,500 lifetime maximum.

Health Savings Account (HSA)

An HSA is a tax-favored savings account that you own. You can contribute money, and NWN Carousel automatically contributes as well. You can use money in your account to pay for qualified health care expenses or keep it for future expenses, even those you incur in retirement.

Flexible Spending Account (FSA)

• Health Care FSA – You can contribute up to $3,050 pre-tax to this account if you’re not participating in the HDHP with HSA. Use these funds to pay for eligible health care expenses.
• Dependent Care FSA – Anyone with eligible childcare and daycare expenses for dependents up to age 12 can contribute up to $5,000 to this account.

Vision Insurance

NWN Carousel provides vision care through VSP, which offers affordable eye care. This includes WellVision Exams, prescription glasses, contact lenses and discounted laser eye surgery. You pay less when you use the VSP Choice network.

Disability

NWN Carousel offers both Short-Term Disability (STD) and Long-Term Disability (LTD) coverages to help protect a portion of your income if you cannot work for an extended period of time due to an illness, injury or other condition.

Life and AD&D Insurance

Employees automatically receive basic life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment coverage through Reliance Standard at no cost — generally equal to one times your basic annual earnings.

Supplemental Life and AD&D

You may purchase extra life insurance through Reliance Standard for yourself, your spouse and your children.

401(k) Savings Plan

To help you save for the future, NWN Carousel has two 401(k) plans, one for each legacy company. You may participate in your legacy company’s plan, contribute tax-free and choose from a wide variety of investment funds. The company match is based on each legacy company’s plan.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

Offered through ACI, the EAP provides short-term counseling to help your mental health as well as other resources to help you balance the demands of everyday life. The EAP is free, confidential and available 24/7/365 to all members of your household.

Voluntary Accident and Critical Illness

You may choose to purchase the following coverage:
• Accident Insurance – Pays benefits for specific injuries and events resulting from a covered accident.
• Critical Illness Insurance – Provides a fixed, lump sum benefit when a covered illness strikes.

Pet Insurance

• Wishbone Pet Health Insurance – This comprehensive plan is true insurance for your cats and dogs. It can be used at any vet facility, has a $250 annual deductible and a $25,000 annual limit.
• Total Pet Plan – Discounts for all animals at network vets for pet products and prescriptions. Both of these options include 24/7 pet telehealth and lost pet recovery services.

TouchCare

TouchCare supports employees with benefits enrollment, billing questions and beyond. Think of it like a personal benefits concierge. This dedicated team is available year-round, ready to help with any benefits-related issues.

Unlimited Paid Time Off (PTO)

NWN Carousel offers employees unlimited time off to ensure they have time to relax and refresh. We only ask that everyone submit their PTO requests for manager approval so coverage can be ensured while you’re gone.

Allowances for Eligible Positions

Depending on your job, you may receive an allowance for your cell phone, internet, business travel or car. Your manager will explain which of these might apply to you.
