The Design Engineer will provide system and solution design support to the Sales Team and will provide both pre-sales and technical sales support, as well as, solution design support.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide pre-sale technical support to sales team.
  • Design technical solutions
  • Utilize AVAYA Solution Designer (ASD). Provide quote in Excel format
  • Total project solution may involve working with other partners (DevConnect, CTI, Recording, etc.)
  • Develop Viseo diagrams as required;
  • Work with Project Manager to develop scope of work.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • Strong Experience designing AVAYA ECG based solutions including s8700/8500/8300 Media Servers; H248 gateways; Messaging Solutions; Call Center Solutions; IP Telephony.
  • Proficiency in: AVAYA Solution Designer (ASD), Viseo, Excel.
  • Ability to define/analyze customer requirements and design appropriate solution.
  • Experience designing AVAYA Solutions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, positive attitude, professional appearance, understanding of sales process, industry knowledge, well organized, dependable, and excellent listening skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of traditional and current voice technologies
  • Knowledge of LAN/WAN technologies, VoIP is a plus.
