Utilities Provider

Carousel provided a new SIP based network utilizing Avaya Session Manager with a survivable Communication Manager system installed in the customer’s two core data centers.The mirrored data center locations provide redundancy for 100% of the customer’s infrastructure, as required by the utilities industry. As part of this backup component Carousel ensured they had their own dedicated communications – all customer communications connect to the core session manager environment via Avaya Telephony. Carousel helped the customer migrate from old TDM technology to VoIP at 4 sites while accommodating the customer’s existing Cisco switching environment. The customer needed maintenance and repair services for its customer-owned Avaya telephone switching platforms and adjunct equipment to Base Communications Offices (BCOs) located within the local metro area. They required service at not less than 99.9% effectiveness level during peacetime, exercise, natural disaster, and conflict.
