Kevin Barnett joins Carousel Industries from Avaya
Exeter, Rhode Island, June 1, 2009 — Kevin Barnett has joined Carousel Industries as a Technical Director overseeing system engineers for the western region of the United States. Kevin’s technical background and industry experience adds to the increasing depth and coverage of Carousel’s growing presence in the western U.S., Kevin will report to Carousel’s Director of Engineering, Dan Whalen.
Most recently Kevin was Avaya’s Technical Director for the western region where he managed a team of unified communication consultants and system engineers that supported medium to large Fortune 500 companies. Some of the enterprises Kevin and his team supported included: Apple, Autodesk, CSC, eBay, GAP, Google, Hilton, Honda, Juniper Networks, McKesson, Kaiser, Netflix, Pixar, Qualcomm, Wells Fargo, and Wynn Resorts. Customers view Kevin and his team as trusted advisors and as a result, many have implemented Avaya’s entire portfolio of Unified Communication, Call Center and management applications, resulting in significant ROI savings to their respective business. Kevin also spent several years as a Convergence Specialist and System engineer at Avaya and Lucent Technologies, where he designed complex, multi-application solutions for companies with thousands of sites and tens of thousands of users.
As an Assistant Vice President of Network Services at First Interstate Bank and Wells Fargo, Kevin spent ten years managing a team of engineers, project managers, voice / video / data analysts and field technicians with responsibility for over 200 sites and 7000 users. The sites included branches, call centers, check processing center, network operations center, data center and a disaster recovery site. Kevin played a strategic role in managing several mergers and acquisitions, four major disaster recovery and business resumption situations, and re-engineering many internal business processes.
The combination of Kevin’s near 30 years of experience as a customer, technical knowledge and business acumen - including an MBA; make Kevin uniquely qualified to add value to any customer relationship. Kevin understands the distinctive challenges his customers face from their user communities, their internal leadership and the service providers at large. Kevin is a strong customer advocate and looks forward to him and his Carousel technical team supporting new and existing customers accordingly.
