Struggling with the high costs and liabilities of an outdated, disparate U.S. voice and data infrastructure, Lufthansa Cargo contracted Carousel Industries in 2010 to help review and upgrade their U.S. telecommunications networks.  Focused on creating a more cost effective, integrated customer care architecture, this project would ultimately leave no corner of their American operations untouched.  Voice systems would be revamped to incorporate Avaya VoIP and Nuance Speech Attendant.  A purpose-built standalone data network, based on the high bandwidth reliability of modern Avaya, Extreme and Phybridge data switches, would be implemented to deliver combined Internet, MPLS and SIP trunking services.
