Carousel provided a new SIP based network utilizing Avaya Session Manager with a survivable Communication Manager system installed in the customer’s two core data centers.The mirrored data center locations provide redundancy for 100% of the customer’s infrastructure, as required by the utilities industry. As part of this backup component Carousel ensured they had their own dedicated communications – all customer communications connect to the core session manager environment via Avaya Telephony. In addition, Carousel layered in all UC features sets, including Avaya Flare, full SIP integration with Polycom Video (Carousel helped deploy this as well) and RMA (Remote Monitoring Agents) Session Manager for group Admin management. Carousel partnered with Polycom on the Visual Communications solutions element.
