Carousel Industries offers four instructor-led training courses for system administrators interested in enhancing their Avaya skills. Each course is held in the Carousel University training facility located at Carousel's headquarters in Exeter, RI.

Our courses are designed to promote an interactive, hands-on learning experience for system administrators involved in the day-to-day use of Avaya Communications Manager products, Avaya Modular Messaging for Messages Storage Server, and Avaya Aura Messaging Administration.

In addition to the on-site/hands-on training Carousel can provide classroom-based training in our Exeter, RI office, and web-based seminars are frequently assembled for specific customer requests.

CU-AM01: Avaya Aura Messaging Administration

The Avaya Aura Messaging Administration course is designed for system administrators involved in the day-to-day use of Aura Messaging.


The Aura Messaging Administration course provides an interactive, instructor-guided, hands-on learning experience for system administrators. The course covers topics such as system architecture, user administration, caller applications, maintenance and more. Course instruction includes hands-on lab exercises as well as instructor-led discussions and guided activities.

What you'll learn

  • Understand the functions of the different components of Aura Messaging, where they are located, and what they do for the system as a whole.
  • Understand the features of Aura Messaging and how to administer features for users.
  • How to perform day-to-day administration of Aura Messaging, including Class of Service, user administration and system distribution lists (ELA).
  • How subscribers and administrators can use the User Preferences web interface to customize subscriber mailboxes.
  • How to use Caller Applications to create caller menus, including holiday schedules and Info Mailboxes.
  • How to check logs and perform maintenance tasks, including performing backups.
  • Understand the reporting capabilities of Aura Messaging, where to access certain reports, and the meaning of the data contained within each report.

CU-CM01: Avaya Communications Manager Administration


This course is designed to promote an interactive, instructor-guided, hands-on learning experience for system administrators involved in the day-to-day use of Avaya Communication Manager products. The course covers Avaya Site Administrator, daily ongoing administration such as COR, COS, station administration and more. Course instruction includes a mix of instructor-led discussions, guided activities, and lab activities designed with administration tasks in mind.
