CBS Super Bowl XLIV - Day 8

January 27, 2010

Our population has grown to about 400-people in our small trailer community. It is amazing to watch the pace and the intensity increase with every hour that passes.

Today was a busy day attending to the special needs of all the mobile units as they arrive and setting up their phones. It was uneventful but a very steady day.

Our work at the production hotel continued with voice, data and CATV cable pulls. We should complete this site on Thursday.

We decided to schedule all of our work on South Beach for Thursday, Friday and Saturday with Sunday as a buffer. I promise good pictures.

All of the mobile units (Production 3, Game Day - 2, Pre Game - 1, Special Events -2) are all in place. Our connections are not complete. This work will take place Thursday and Friday.

As I visit the commissary, and enjoy my hearty oatmeal (my daughter is so proud of me) the last 2-mornings, I engage in conversations and renew friendships, now 18-years old. I am amazed at the folks that remember me, and most importantly think I am really important. You have to see their faces when I say, “you got to be kidding me, I am just the dial tone guy, and yes, now I allow you Internet access.” I don’t know why, but they still love Carousel. It is some great chemistry!

It has been really busy the last couple of days. I promise to bring some “people that matter” stories back by Friday.

Stay tuned, the pictures get better!
