CU-MSS01: Avaya Modular Messaging for the Message Storage Server

The Avaya Modular Messaging for Message Storage Server course is designed for system administrators involved in the day-to-day use of Avaya Modular Messaging with the Avaya Message Storage Server (MSS). The course covers system architecture, Role-Based Access Control, COS, Mailbox administration, Enhanced List Applications, diagnostics and reporting on the MSS and MAS, backups and Caller Applications.

Overview

This course is designed to promote an interactive, instructor-guided, hands-on learning experience for system administrators involved in the day-to-day use of Avaya Modular Messaging with the Avaya Message Storage Server (MSS). The course covers system architecture, Role-Based Access Control, COS, Mailbox administration, Enhanced List Applications, diagnostics and reporting on the MSS and MAS, backups and Caller Applications. Course instruction includes a blend of instructor-led discussions, guided activities, and lab activities.

What you'll learn

  • Understand the functions of the different components of Modular Messaging, where they are located, and what they do for the system as a whole.
  • Understand the capabilities of the Modular Messaging product and how to administer features for users.
  • Perform day-to-day administration of Modular Messaging on both the MAS and MSS.
  • Administer the Message Storage Server (MSS) software, including performing backups.
  • Understand good housekeeping principles for Modular Messaging, and gain the know how to perform the routine tasks that help keep the system running as reliably as possible.
  • Understand the reporting capabilities of MM, where to access certain reports, and the meaning of the data contained within each report.
  • Web Client and Web Subscriber Options
  • How to use Caller Applications to create caller menus.

Fee for each course is $1,500. Fee will be required to be paid 2 weeks prior to the course date. Cancellation will be permitted within 10 days of the course start date. Cancellations within the allowed time will be provided as either full refund or credit towards a future course.
