This week, meet Jon Travers, sales support associate at Carousel’s Warwick, R.I. location for more than two years. We sat down with Jon (never with an H, he says) to learn more about his view on maintaining balance and some of his life’s top moments.
What do you consider the best invention/technology?
I think collaboration technology is integral in the modern workplace. Whether you’re sharing your screen with a colleague, holding video conference calls spanning multiple offices, or following up on something via instant messaging, the newest collaboration technologies allow for seamless communication throughout any organization.
How do you keep a healthy work-life balance?
We all know that sometimes the job spans more than 8-5, but by prioritizing my time and setting the electronics down, I get plenty of time with my family. More often than not, that e-mail that comes in after hours can wait until the morning. If it can’t, I’ll hop on quick after the kids are asleep.

What are your top 3 life highlights?
1. Having two wonderful, healthy kids. 2. Climbing 37 of 48 New Hampshire 4,000 footers (still working on the last bunch). 3. Skydiving.
What is most exciting about being a #CarouselCrew member?
In the technology industry, change is constant. It’s fun to watch technologies evolve with clients’ needs, as it allows me to learn new things—day in, day out.
