In my experience, arranging the actual move over the weekend leads to the least amount of disruption to your business. Find a company that will make a team available over the weekend to install and test your IT and telecoms infrastructure, ensuring that everything is as it should be come Monday morning.
8. Plan for gaffes
Issues are bound to happen no matter how well you plan your office move, so be sure to work with an IT services provider or a managed services partner that can be at your beck and call for the first few weeks.
Telecom consultants are very familiar with the logistical and technical aspects of handling your move. They can help to make your transition and migration of your IT and Telecom services to the new location as smooth as possible.
If your new building has an elevator, it is generally a good idea to check that it can be used by your removal contractors during the relocation weekend to transport heavy IT equipment. Also ensure that your new premise has safe vehicular access and that there is sufficient space for on-site parking on moving weekend.
