The AlwaysOn Technology Symposium is a one-day event designed to help IT leaders better educate and teach their business about existing and imminent trends so the business can hear about them from IT first. Throughout the event, we dive deep into mega trends that are impacting how we manage IT, and bring in speakers and panelists who can expand upon these areas of opportunities.
For our third annual event in 2017, more than 250 IT leaders gathered at the Rhode Island Convention Center in Providence to explore the notion of change. Together, attendees listened to keynoters from Cisco and Avaya discuss the ever-evolving technology industry; explored pertinent technology topics such as cybersecurity, SD-WAN, collaboration; and mixed and mingled with key partners in the technology space.
Thank you for joining us for 2017.
AlwaysOn Technology Symposium is designed for Carousel clients only, however we do reserve a limited number of seats for community members. To be added to our list, please contact us.
The AlwaysOn Technology Symposium may be a technology-focused event, but at its core, it’s about thought leadership. It is about sharing stories of how individuals are using these technologies and how these innovations will impact people. Perhaps most importantly, it’s about positioning IT to embrace opportunities.
Who want to discuss what’s happening in the world today, what changes to expect down the road and how these existing and imminent trends will impact IT and the business.
Who are looking to become more strategically positioned within their organizations.
Or technical mangers, who are looking to take a break from “run” mode to learn how to empower themselves within their organizations and better steer their company’s strategic technical roadmap.
“A great way to reenergize your thinking and find key points to take back to our business to drive positive change. Excellent speakers and presentation.”
– Leeza Mathews, Manager MIS, MTF
“I came to the event not knowing what to expect. I left with both inspiration and practical ideas to take back to my team and organization. The tools would be useful not just in work, but in my personal life too.”
– Adam Greenman, Executive VP, Community Investment, United Way of RI
“Truly a changing experience. Learned new ways to lead and implement change. All speakers were nothing less than excellent and I will be going back to my notes for a long time. Thank you for the opportunity to change myself.”
– Ana Novais, Executive Director, RIDOH
“[The event] spoke directly to my business and the changes we are facing to redefine its future. Inspiration and goals, simple straight forward. Don’t overwhelm, plan, engage the entire family.”
– Dona Vincent, President, Tedco Inc.
“A well-coordinated event where the speakers were informative and on-point. I loved how focused the event was with each speaker able to build on the prior one, even though they were from different companies. It made me feel as if they were speaking universal truths with every actionable advice.”
– Maureen O’Gorman, Consultant, Registration Technologies

Whether you’re a Providence native or a fresh face to the Ocean State, it’s hard to deny the magic of Rhode Island. As such, the AlwaysOn Leadership Symposium is staying home in the heart of Providence, taking place at the Rhode Island Convention Center located in the center of downtown.
With the downtown area a stone’s throw away from the convention center—via a sky-bridge—the leadership symposium affords participants the chance to explore the greater community, including the Omni Hotel, the Providence Place Mall and nearby Thayer Street. Carousel has reserved the top floor and Rotunda Room for the AlwaysOn Leadership Symposium, a space known for its open-floor-plan and wide views of downtown Providence.
Since our inception Carousel has remained committed to creating lasting impact—with regards to the people and communities it touches. What better place than Providence, a short drive from our Warwick office, to fuel such positive change?
“Our state and city of Providence certainly have unique appeal,” suggests our Chief Client Officer Tim Hebert. “Access to the many of best hotels and restaurants, and the activities within the city are abundant. I know our clients, partners, and employees will thoroughly enjoy the day and the venue we have chosen.”
With so much to see and do, Providence offers no shortage of entertainment. When you come to AlwaysOn, be sure to engage beyond the day itself! In fact, we hope you’ll spend quite a bit of time experiencing what we love about our good ole’ Ocean State.
The one-day thought leadership event attracts leaders from near and far. From the IT director who hops in his car for a quick 10-minute drive down I-95 to the CIO who catches the next flight out of California. Downtown Providence has a large number of accommodating hotels so visitors will surely be able to find what suits them best. We’ve suggested a few places for you to stay, but you can also see the Visit Rhode Island website for more suggestions.
