EXETER, RI – April 09, 2017 – Carousel Industries, a leader in communication and network technologies, professional and managed services, and cloud solutions, announced its keynote speakers and unveiled the final agenda for the 2017  AlwaysOn Leadership Symposium, which takes place Thursday, May 18 at the Rhode Island Convention Center.

The AlwaysOn Leadership Symposium, first held in January of 2010, brings together professionals across all industries, company sizes, and roles for a day of personal and professional development. The annual event has continuously expanded and evolved and is expected to attract more than 500 professionals from leading organizations nationwide. The 2017 symposium will explore professional topics ranging from the importance of strong organizational culture to achieving better business outcomes. It is targeted at virtually every segment of executive and mid-level management, from the C-suite to business and IT directors.

“The AlwaysOn Leadership Symposium sits at the confluence of technology, leadership, and business. Once again, this unique event unquestionably breaks the mold of the traditional conference by kick-starting positive transformation for every attendee–with inspirational keynotes, experiential learning exercises, and idea exchange,” said Tim Hebert, Chief Client Officer of Carousel Industries. “At our 2017 event, business and technology professionals from across New England and surrounding states will network with peers and discuss modern-day leadership beliefs and best practices. Above all, attendees will challenge themselves and examine their roles in a decidedly different manner by interacting with industry luminaries and big thinkers.”

2017 keynotes include:

  • Daniel Rodriguez, War Hero and Former NFL Player: After surviving the bloodiest clash of the war in Afghanistan, he left the military and walked onto the Clemson football special teams unit to fulfill a promise to a friend who died on the battlefield. Daniel will share the story of how he came back from the edge of war to honor his friend’s life and create a new one for himself.
  • Trent Theroux, Spinal Cord Injury Survivor and VP of Finance at Thielsch Engineering: Trent is a fighter who inspires and motivates through his story of triumph. Following a serious accident, Trent beat the odds—and his prognosis—and eventually completed his penultimate goal: an unprecedented backstroke swim into the Atlantic Ocean.
  • Tim Hebert, Chief Client Officer at Carousel Industries: The visionary behind AlwaysOn, Tim was president and CEO of IT services firm Atrion, Inc., which Carousel acquired in 2016. Tim is an influential role model leading transformation at Carousel and in inner-city public education, with the adoption of Rhode Island’s Academy for Career Exploration. Tim will deliver a keynote focused on resilience–and how to build resiliency into our organizations, professional lives, and personal lives.
