As Carousel’s Microsoft Related Business Experiences Exponential YoY Growth, Drolet Will Spearhead Strategic Sales Initiatives for 2015 and Beyond

Exeter, Rhode Island, May 19, 2015Carousel Industries, a leader in managed services, video solutions, data and visual communications, announced that it has appointed John Drolet to Vice President Sales, Microsoft Solutions, effective immediately. Drolet, who will be based in Carousel’s Exeter office, will report directly to James Marsh, Chief Revenue Officer, and be responsible for carrying out strategic initiatives for Carousel’s Microsoft team, including growing its professional services practice and its recently announced Skype for Business offerings.

Carousel’s Microsoft practice is one of its fastest growing segments, with growth of more than 40 percent year over year. The integrator’s expertise not only includes managed services, but also video, data and unified communications. Drolet brings more than 28 years of experience in the communications industry, helping both enterprises and SMBs navigate through an ever-evolving market. In each of his prior roles, he has managed sales and technical teams to drive incremental sales growth and revenue — within direct, indirect and carrier channels.

“Our Microsoft practice is a very important growth segment for Carousel, and recently, it has evolved into a ‘linchpin’  technology for customers,” commented Jeff Gardner, President of Carousel Industries. “In this context, many of the conversations we have with customers and partners involve Microsoft. By expanding our capabilities in this area, we will be able to serve our customers better while achieving greater synergy across all our Microsoft-based offerings, including Skype for Business.”

Before joining Carousel, Drolet was Vice President of Business Development at eZuce, Inc., where he directed the company’s overall sales effort while working with key large enterprise customers. He was also instrumental in developing an IT oriented channel there by assembling solution integrators, cloud-hosting companies and managed services providers. Prior to that, Drolet was Vice President Indirect and Carrier Sales at Aastra (now Mitel), where he was instrumental in driving revenue including the introduction of the company’s Microsoft Lync product line.

Drolet, who is a Microsoft Lync Sales Training Certified professional, holds a degree in Business Administration from Northeastern University.
