Carousel is pleased to be part of a community of organizations that lend their resources, time, and people to support humanitarian efforts around the globe. On Friday, September 22, our Avaya cloud-based UC platform, will be used to support a telethon hosted by TEGNA affiliate stations in Texas as part of Harvey Can’t Mess With Texas: A Benefit Concert for Hurricane Harvey Relief. The number for phone donations during the fundraiser is 833-2HELPTX.

It’s our people that matter most. We’re proud they’re making a difference to those affected by these devastating storms. Get to know our #CarouselCrew members.

The Benefit is taking place at the Frank Erwin Center from 7 p.m.-11 p.m CT., and will be broadcast on 11 TEGNA stations. This will be the largest live concert benefit in Texas and will feature four hours of exclusive performances and collaborations from a long list of music legends including: Willie Nelson, Paul Simon, James Taylor, Bonnie Raitt, Leon Bridges, Lyle Lovett, Nathaniel Rateliff and the Nightsweats, Edie Brickell and the New Bohemians, Ryan Bingham, Ha*Ash, and additional special guests. The performances will be led by Musical Director Charlie Sexton, and backed by house band, Asleep at the Wheel.

Many Texas-native celebrities and politicians will also make special appearances, with Matthew McConaughey, Dan Rather, Renée Zellweger, Luke Wilson, Austin Mayor Steve Adler, Houston Chief of Police Art Acevedo, and more, stopping by to help raise awareness and support for those affected by the storm.
